Increasing Student Productivity

You are a 9th grade science teacher at Columbia High School. You have been told by your principal that you need to increase the personal productivity of your students. How will you accomplish this?

Define personal productivity and objectives with the principal
(Level of engagement and completion of products
Increasing relevance
Student produce choice
Integrating technology
Confer w/teacher specialist/coach to identify resources
Assess students’ knowledge
Focus on problem based learning
Mentors/evaluators from the community to make it more “toolish” and less “schoolish”
